A Tail Holder is a dance of the human body and Japanese candles. With minimal sound
effects and lighting created together with Randiane Sandboe, the audience will experience a soothing temporality and the ever-changing space through Hamada’s dance. His movement, which is authentic*, precise and fragile, comes from his research on non-human-centralised movements like those of water, smoke and flame as well as his tailbone and each body part.
* Knut Ove ARNTZEN, theater scientist in University of Bergen,
recognize his movement and work in a context of new authenticity, where exist “no more a question of “fake” or “non-fake” pretending or not pretending, but rather a question concerning the political function of arts as an elaboration of truth through fictionalizing of truth.”
